Louisville CO – (Nov. 1, 2011) Michael Syverson has been appointed Director of Special Projects at PrinterEvolution, announced Kevin Sykes, CEO of the new company. In this capacity Syverson will participate in strategy and solutions to fit market needs and be responsible for overseeing the engineering, development and final field implementation of projects.

Syverson has been in the printing industry for almost 20 years, working for EFI- VUTEk for 10 years where he was instrumental in the development and rollout of five industrial inkjet printing devices. These printers have led the way to revolutionary changes in the grand format printing market. He was issued a patent for his creative vision with the Engineering teams at EFI- VUTEk. During his seven years as a Senior Applications Specialist, Syverson worked directly with Engineering and beta customers and the RIP software development groups to develop drivers for the new equipment including new features and capabilities for future versions of the software.
As Western Account Manager at VUTEk, he led the implementation of nearly 200 industrial printing devices to over 100 accounts. In addition, he generated almost $1,400,000 in revenue in extended service contracts and brought in over $500,000 in ink revenue by converting third party ink users back to OEM products.
Most recently, Syverson was a broker with Global Garage, the world’s leading marketplace for used wide and grand format equipment and parts. During his time at the Garage, he helped develop processes for selling used parts, reclaiming and refurbishing print heads from various manufacturers and brokering used equipment. His contributions have helped to make the Global Garage one of the premier used equipment brokers in the world.
