One of the best ways to preserve margin is to offer something your competitors can’t. With only a handful of 16-foot textile printers in the country, end users who actually lay eyes on a 16-foot seamless print are blown away. For those who can offer the service it opens a whole new market in which very few can compete.
TWO MACHINES IN ONE
Using a second piece of equipment to sublimate a 5-meter roll of fabric is labor and time intensive. 16-foot calenders are enormous devices that have a huge footprint, require extra labor and additional electrical to run. Inline printing means once it starts printing, it comes off finished, allowing you to skip this extra step in the process and the expenses associated with it.
State-of-the-art Kyocera printheads with a 4 pL native drop size result in high-speed, true greyscale fabric printing. These heads offer the fastest dye sublimation printing and smallest drop size in the digital textile print industry.
The D5300 DS can be configured with 4 or 8 printheads and is field upgradable when you are ready to increase your speed.
VERSATILE MATERIAL HANDLING
The D5300 DS is super efficient. Print full-width on a huge 16-foot roll OR print separate jobs simultaneously on two different rolls. Maximize the entire platform for speed and efficiency no matter what kind of work you are running.
True, complete sublimation requires the perfect balance of heat, pressure and time. The control panel on the D Series allows operators to fine-tune the perfect temperature and dwell time while the built-in calender (or rotary heat press) uses an evenly-heated steel drum that the fabric wraps around during the sublimation phase. The resulting fabric prints are rich, vibrant and colorfast.
D SERIES INK
Achieve a brilliant color gamut with super rich blacks, a heavy pigment load and excellent greyscale.
The vibrant, water-based inks pass all OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certifications. They are produced in an ISO 9001 facility with strict quality control and provide the lowest cost per print in the industry for an industrial dye sublimation printer.
VARIABLE DROP PRINTING
D Series printers utilize Kyocera variable drop greyscale heads that produce drops of varying colors and sizes within a single image file, marrying the best combination of the image quality that comes with small drop sizes and the productivity associated with large drop printing. Using only 4 colors, the precision of the Kyocera heads provides fine, detailed text and superior image quality, especially in gradients and midtones.
Because the D Series does not require light colored inks, users realize up to a 50% reduction in ink usage, further reducing their cost of operation and increasing their profit margins.
The in-line cutting system, which comes standard on the D5300 DS, uses six adjustable blades to slit the media vertically after sublimation. The operator can print several jobs at once and separate them into batches as they come off the printer, decreasing finishing time and increasing productivity.
PAINLESS MATERIAL WEBBING
An integrated sewing system automatically attaches a new roll of fabric so it doesn’t have to be re-webbed after change outs, saving time and material costs.
